The Strive Recreational Therapy Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate a passion for improving the lives of individuals with disabilities through recreational therapy. This scholarship provides financial support to future CTRS professionals, helping them grow within their chosen field while aligning with Strive RTS’s mission of enhancing independence and quality of life for all.

Application Process
Step 1: Determine Eligibility
Ensure you meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled in an accredited university’s recreational therapy program within the U.S.
- Committed to pursuing CTRS certification.
Step 2: Prepare Your Application
Submit the following documents:
- Personal Statement: Explain your career goals in recreational therapy, what drives your passion for this field, and how the scholarship will support your aspirations.
- Letter of Recommendation: One letter from a professor or supervisor who can speak to your qualifications, character, and dedication to recreational therapy.
- Transcript: An official copy of your academic transcript demonstrating good standing.
- Resume: Highlight your educational background, relevant coursework, volunteer experience, and any fieldwork in recreational therapy.
Step 3: Submit Your Application
Compile all application documents in to 1 PDF and submit via email to marketing@striverts.com – the first round due date for consideration is June 1st 2025.
Step 4: Await Notification
Applications will be reviewed by the Strive RTS Board of Directors. Recipients will be notified via email by August 1st, 2025.
Step 5: Commitment Agreement
Upon selection, scholarship recipients must sign an agreement to Accept a post-graduation work opportunity at Strive RTS for a minimum of 1 year.
